Another batch coming in, another story coming out

I was in the middle of replying some important message on fb, when a friend of mine send me this link:

Ibu Emir
(Its a google cache)

Nak gelak, nak marah, semua pun ada. But yeah, this is a one or maybe twice and thrice experience that we will have to go through. Without such things, macam mana nak improve service, ye tak?Terpanggil untuk menjawab, though i know it won't be publish. Just to say a few words.

Hey, aku empat tahun tinggal sana. Wang Ulu tu saksi jatuh bangun, besar kuncup, peluh keringat segala.

Kepada adik beliau, kalau awak kena buli-buli sikit tu, tadah jelah. Kakak awak yang complain, nanti awak complain kat dia ye? Akak boleh kata, it will be fun there. :)

Kepada kakak, sorry, i just have to share this, not to humiliate you, or to make things go worst, this shall be a reminder to everyone, tak kira yang nak hantar, yang nak menerima student, to give our best to make things go as smooth as possible.

Dan di bawah adalah komen panjang lebar macam esei Bahasa Inggeris Universiti yang ambil masa Tahun Satu, Semester II. :D

Salam puan. I know somehow this won't be publish 'cause you have already close the entry. But I just have to give my opinion as well.

As one of UniMAP's alumni, who have been studying there for four years, the experience that you and your family have been through, is the same like every family who sent their incharge or family members to any other universities.

UniMAP starts with a small number of students and it expands every single year. From the day it opens its door, until now I believe all the staff have already tried their best to serve everyone with the best service. And I believe they will keep on trying to improve that from time to time.

During my time, we have to register at Kuala Perlis hostel and right after the orientation week ends we have to move back to Wang Ulu and the only transportation we have is using buses provided by the university. It may not be the most convenient facilities but still, it was better than having to rent a car or such.

Regarding on the briefing session, it is important for the parents or the guardian to have all the information regarding hostels, classes, logistic and such in order to let them know that their incharge are in the safest and the coziest condition a student could have. However, if the parents could not attend, there should be no problem at all. Its not that, the management doesn't concern about the guardian's situation. Plus, I think for registration purpose, a minimum whole day would be provided. My parents took 3 days off for that matter. (But that was my time and I know different people have different commitment)

Regarding the campus, UniMAP students are lucky enough to be provided with hostels through their study period unlike some other university which only provide the hostel for the 1st year students. The one in main campus is not there yet as the developing of the main campus focused on the most important element such as library, classrooms, the main hall. Still, hostels are provided though it is slightly far. For students convenience, buses are also there. Based on schedule, it will transport student hourly basis.

You did mention about the hostels condition. For your information, the hostels have been vacant for almost 4 months. Based on my experience, 2 weeks after the hostels being vacant, the cleaners will come to clean up each house. In Wang Ulu itself there are almost 14 blocks of 5 storeys flat houses, each level with four houses, each block with minimum of 2 wings, u can see why the spider webs and dust is everywhere after several time. We can't really expect the hostel to be shiny clean after 4 months being vacant, can we?

And the traffic jam? Well it was not something usual, and you can't expect the road in Bintong, Wang Ulu is as broad as the main road. Probably, if there was schedule prepared and all the families there followed the time provided to drop their incharge, should there me no problem at all. Maybe a minor traffic jammed. Don't you think so?

On top of all, lets wish your little brother all the best. And if he's there for his brightest future, he's at the right place.

I'll stop here. If I had ever write things that insult or in any way hurts your feeling, I am truly sorry.

I stand here, typing this comment to let you know, this is a norm. Especially during registration day. Probably you'll face another traffic jammed in Perlis during your brother's convocation. ;)

Thank you for reading. Wslm.
